Fantasy Football Week 10 Waiver Wire Pickup Suggestions

1 of 7

The Detriot Lions’ Joique Bell is a more attractive fantasy commodity in PPR leagues than standard ones; he has 43 rushing attempts and 23 receptions on the season. In his last three games, Bell has caught at least three passes per outing and faces a Minnesota Vikings defense in Week 10 that has been gashed by running backs.

Minnesota has allowed 609 total scrimmage yards and five total touchdowns to RBs in the last three weeks.

Also consider: Isaac Redman (Pittsburgh Steelers), Marcel Reece (Oakland Raiders), Vick Ballard (Indianapolis Colts), Daniel Thomas (Miami Dolphins) and Jacquizz Rodgers (Atlanta Falcons).

QB: Ryan Tannehill, Miami Dolphins

2 of 7

Rookie Ryan Tannehill of the Miami Dolphins threw for 290 yards and a touchdown against the Indianapolis Colts on the road in Week 9. In Week 10, he will face the Tennessee Titans at home.  Tennessee was last seen giving up three touchdowns and 229 passing yards to Jay Cutler on 19-of-26 passing.

It has consistently been a fine fantasy opponent for QBs.

Also consider: Ryan Fitzpatrick (Buffalo Bills), Carson Palmer (Oakland Raiders) and Blaine Gabbert (Jacksonville Jaguars).

RB: Joique Bell, Detroit Lions

WR: T.Y. Hilton, Indianapolis Colts

4 of 7

Indianapolis Colts rookie T.Y. Hilton saw 11 passes thrown his way in Week 9 against the Miami Dolphins. He caught six for 102 yards and a touchdown. Next up for Hilton is the Jacksonville Jaguars defense, which has allowed at least one touchdown to a wide receiver in five of its last six games.

Hilton is catching a higher percentage of his targets (54.5 percent) than fellow wideout Donnie Avery (49.3 percent). He should also benefit from the presence of veteran Reggie Wayne.

Also consider: Golden Tate (Seattle Seahawks), Danario Alexander (San Diego Chargers) and Cecil Shorts (Jacksonville Jaguars).

TE: Brandon Myers, Oakland Raiders

5 of 7

Fourth-year tight end Brandon Myers of the Oakland Raiders caught the first two touchdowns of his career against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 9. He has been a consistent source of yardage for fantasy owners, but his lack of touchdowns limited him from being a fantasy force.

Now that the Raiders’ running game is ailing, Oakland may entrust Carson Palmer to throw the football more—which should result in more looks for Myers. If he can find the end zone with any regularity, he should be a second-half revelation for fantasy owners.

Also consider: Jermaine Gresham (Cincinnati Bengals) and Scott Chandler (Buffalo Bills).

D/ST: Indianapolis Colts

6 of 7

Even if the Jacksonville Jaguars—the Indianapolis Colts’ Week 10 opponent—had not played the Chicago Bears this season, they would be a relatively favorable offense for opposing fantasy D/ST units to combat. In ESPN standard scoring, Jacksonville has given up 8.6 fantasy points per game to defenses not named the Bears.

    Chicago scored 28.

Indianapolis has played well in recent weeks. They have yet to be spectacular on the defensive end (four sacks and zero turnovers in the last three weeks), but the Colts have kept the score low.

Colts opponents have averaged just over 15 points per game in the last three games.

Also consider: Pittsburgh Steelers and New England Patriots.

K: Adam Vinatieri, Indianapolis Colts

7 of 7

The Jacksonville Jaguars give fantasy owners reason to be all in on the Indianapolis Colts this week. Adam Vinatieri has attempted at least three field goals in four of his last five games. In three of the five, he scored double-digit fantasy points.

Opponents facing Jacksonville, meanwhile, have attempted multiple field goals in every game this season. They have also knocked in two or more extra points in each matchup with the Jaguars.
