NFL Pigskin Preview Week 10: Denver Broncos at Carolina Panthers

Josh ZerkleChief Writer IIINovember 5, 2012

Peyton Manning and the Denver Broncos are a force to be reckoned with in the AFC. This weekend, they'll travel east to face a struggling foe from the NFC.

The Carolina Panthers (2-6) were looking to build on their 6-9 record from a season ago, but the foundation has collapsed, much to the frustration of everyone in Charlotte.

No, seriously. Everyone. I asked every person that lives in Charlotte and they're totally bummed.

Second-year quarterback Cam Newton has been disappointing of late. Despite an impressive road win against Washington in Week 9, Ron Rivera's team has been generally unimpressive in 2012.

Denver (5-3) has taken quite a shine to their new quarterback. Peyton Manning seems to have picked up right where he left off in 2010, delivering the ball to a host of receivers without any symptoms of the neck issues that kept him on the sideline for all of 2011.

The Broncos appear loaded and balanced, a scary thought for anyone looking across from them as the season continues to unfold.
