Oakland Raiders at Baltimore Ravens: Preview & Predictions

Josh Zerkle@JoshZerkleChief Writer IIINovember 5, 2012

The Oakland Raiders gave up over 200 yards rushing to a player deemed to be the next Ray Rice. How will the Silver and Black fare against the original Ray Rice?

The Baltimore Ravens (6-2) have soldiered on despite heavy losses on the defensive side of the ball due to injury. With cornerback Lardarius Webb and linebacker Ray Lewis out for the rest of 2012, the Ravens needed a big performance to get out of Cleveland with a win in Week 9. John Harbaugh's team managed just fine.

Oakland (3-5) might not be so forgiving, but they're having injury woes of their own. Darren McFadden left the team's Week 9 game against Tampa Bay and did not return. His status will surely be in doubt for this weekend's action. First-year head coach Dennis Allen might be forced to lie his hopes upon the arm of Carson Palmer and the vertical passing game that the team only recently has begun to implement.
