Detroit Lions at Minnesota Vikings Preview and Predictions

Andrew GardaFeatured ColumnistNovember 5, 2012

Are these two ships passing in the night and going in different directions?

The Lions appear to be finally on track as they desperately try to salvage the season. The weight of expectations seemed to drag them down to start the year. With a struggling Matt Stafford, no run game to speak of and a sporadic defense, things looked grim.

However, the last few games have shown the Lions to be waking up. Some of that is because Mikel Leshoure seems to have finally found a rhythm. Is he the real deal or just an aberration?

He'll go up against a Vikings run defense that has been lit up the last month, so we'll get a chance to see what he's made of.

The Lions are trying to find a way to get Calvin Johnson the ball in the end zone, to little effect, while the Vikings are just trying to find someone other than All-World Adrian Peterson or multifaceted Percy Harvin to make a play.

The Vikings are cooling off while the Lions are heating up.

Who comes away with the win? Josh Zerkle, Aaron Nagler and myself will give you the lowdown.
