Panthers vs. Redskins: Full Highlights and Recap

Jesse Reed@@JesseReed78Correspondent INovember 5, 2012

The Carolina Panthers handed the Washington Redskins their third straight loss, winning by a score of 21-13.

Cam Newton outplayed his rookie counterpart, finishing the game with 201 yards and one touchdown through the air and 37 yards and a touchdown on the ground.

Robert Griffin III had another rough outing, failing to produce a single touchdown pass or run after having trouble in Week 8 against the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Charles Johnson and Greg Hardy had something to do with RG3's struggles, totaling 3.5 sacks and six quarterback hits between them.

The Redskins couldn't lay a finger on Newton, striking out in the sack department and hitting him only two times in the pocket.

Rookie linebacker Luke Kuechly was all over the field in this game, totaling 15 tackles—nine of them being solo.

The Panthers improved to 2-6 on the season and will host the Denver Broncos in Week 10, while the Redskins fell to 3-6 and will take the next week off on their bye.
