Andrew Martin, Rest In Peace
Pro wrestler Andrew Martin, aka Test, Big Foot, T.J Thunder, and Martin Kane, was found deceased in his home on Friday, March 13th 2009, in Tampa, Florida.
Cause of death is unknown.
Martin was born March 17, 1975 in Whitby, Ontario, and he always wanted to be a wrestler. Andrew made his wrestling debut in 1997 and was trained by Leo Burke, wrestling greats Dory Funk Jr., and Bret Hart.
He was an all-around athlete.
Here is a list of some of his championships:
1. WWE (Wild West Wrestling) heavyweight championship
2. WCW tagteam belt w/ Booker T
3. WWE European belt
4. WWE hardcore championship belt (held twice)
5. WWE tagteam belt w/ Booker T
6. WWE intercontinental championship belt
Martin was ranked No. 37 of 500 pro wrestlers.
In 2008, Andrew retired from wrestling, and planned on going back to school to become a trainer. Barbie Blank and Kelly Kelly were two of the Divas that were involved with Andrew.
In a blog he recently wrote, Martin apologized for missing a few matches, due to being extremely sick. He was doing tours at the time he wrote this blog.
Also, Andrew explained that he still went to wrestling matches even though he was extremely ill, and their doctor sent him home. He didn't want to disappoint his fans—that's how much he loved and respected them.
He was controversial at times but was still a great wrestler. In his private, he had a good heart and was a decent man. He will definitely be missed by his peers, fans, family and friends.
We send our condolences and sympathy to his family. Andrew and his family are in our prayers. May he rest in peace.
