Who says wrestling and politics don't mix?

Well, certainly not the McMahon's, and apparently not WWE champ CM Punk.

According to WrestlingInc.com, Punk was a guest on Streetz Sportz Reportz on Power 99 in Philadelphia. When asked who his presidential candidate of choice was, he stated:

I know they're all saying it's a close race, which really depresses me because how anybody can vote for Mitt Romney is mind boggling to me. I think Obama pulls it out and we get another good four years.

You can listen to the clip here.

Needless to say, Vinnie Mac must not be too thrilled with Punk's public response. Especially considering his wife is a Republican running for Senate in Connecticut. Overall, this news isn't anything too special considering celebrities tend to get asked these questions during election years.

Granted, some celebs like Donald Trump make no bones about who they are pulling for and will even stage a press conference for the "big announcement." Which, to me, is a bit much, considering not too many people seem to care.

Overall, if you're a Punk fan, you are either thrilled or disappointed with his pick. Whichever the case may be, his choice should not sway yours at the polls. Keep in mind, for those of you that live in America, voting is on Tuesday, Nov. 6th, and right now the country is pretty divided in terms of who people want sitting at the helm.

In the end, if you are at least 18, you should get out their and vote for whomever you think will fit the bill the best. Otherwise, you could wind up with a candidate that you don't like.
