Thank you all for following my live coverage of this match and joining in the discussion.
Let's now get ready to see Real Madrid and then the weekend's headliner—Valencia vs. Atletico Madrid.
That's all folks. The final whistle has blown and Barcelona leave with three points.
The score was definitely a bit flattering for the hosts as Celta played a very tough match.
A superb one-on-one save from Victor Valdes was the defining moment from this one. Jordi Alba's goal sealed it, but he was miles offside so it is the Barca keeper who earns man of the match honors from me.
92'—Pedro with a rocket
We're just seconds from time, but that isn't stopping Barcelona from attacking goal. Pedro sends a great one-touch shot on goal from the top of the box, but Varas is there to parry.
For now, fears have been calmed as Barca's No. 10 is back on his feet and has returned to play.
Oh no! Messi is down!— Xoel Cárdenas (@XoelCardenas) November 3, 2012
Cules are having nightmares right now as Lio Messi has gone down in the box with an apparent injuryl
He had his leg extended and a defender ran into his knee. He has now been down for three minutes and is receiving treatment.
78'—Alexis the defender
Iago Aspas makes a menacing run down the right side, but he is cut-off and dispossessed by Sanchez who worked very hard to cover ground.
Alexis Sanchez comes on for David Villa. Let's see if the Chilean can break his goalless streak here.
7'—Fouls and chances
Barcelona are letting Celta get chances here, but it is still the hosts who are threatening more.
They continue to attack Celta and earning fouls in the opposing half.
It seems another goal is inevitable from someone here.
Barcelona 3-1 Celta - Alba with a superb goal.— Samuel (@samuelj29060) November 3, 2012
More on the goal
Some great one-twos from Iniesta and Villa before the latter sends Alba free on goal.
The fullback then dances around Varas and sends his team two goals to the good.
Replays show that Alba was certainly offside so it's a tough break for Celta.
I criticised Real Madrid for their poor performance at home to Celta. Have to say Barça aren't doing any better, so credit to the Galicians.— Ben Hayward (@bghayward) November 3, 2012
56'—Free kick in range
Celta have earned a foul just outside the box and a great ball is sent in from Aspas, but Valdes makes another good save on a ball that looked to be going wide anyway.
