TCU vs. West Virginia: Live Scores, Analysis and Results
FINAL: TCU 39, WVU 38
TCU and West Virginia played the game of the day. Four quarters of back-and-forth stops and scores weren't enough, as TCU converted a 95-yard touchdown in the fourth quarter to send it to overtime.
There, the teams traded missed field goals in the first period. Then, in the second, both teams scored a touchdown in just one play. However, TCU head coach Gary Patterson made the gutsy call of going for the two point conversion, which paid off to give the Frogs the upset victory.
TCU is now bowl eligible, while WVU slides to 5-3 overall.

FINAL: TCU 39, WVU 38
Wow, what a game!
TCU is now bowl eligible and WVU drops its third straight game for the first time since 2004.
I just don't know. It looks like the ball was moving, but I don't know if that's enough to overturn.
TCU Touchdown
FINAL: TCU 39, WVU 38
This game is insane!
TCU answers back in just one play of its own. Patterson said he had a few new wrinkles, and there it was. WR reverse pass results in six for the Frogs.
Then the Frogs go for two and its good to Boyce.
Review pending, but it looked good live.
WVU Touchdown
WVU 38, TCU 31—Second Overtime
Verrett makes his first mistake of the game. Stedman Bailey makes his first big play of the game.
That is No. 15 on the year for Bailey, as he finally makes his presence known.
It took just one play and an awesome route and catch by Bailey. TCU will have to answer with a TD of its own to keep this one going.
WVU Field Goal Blocked
WVU 31, TCU 31—Second Overtime
Outstanding block by Jason Verrett. If TCU wins, he may be player of the game.
The ball will go back to West Virginia for the second overtime period.

TCU Missed Field Goal
WVU 31, TCU 31—Overtime
The Horned Frogs squander their overtime attempt. All WVU has to do is score to win this one.
Outstanding tackle from Terence Garvin on third down. He hasn't quite lived up to his billing this season, but came up huge there.
Check that, WVU obviously on defense.
WVU OT Stats:
This is WVU's 10th overtime game. WVU last played an OT game in 2010, losing, 16-13, at UConn. #WVUsports #WVUfootball

With Bitancurt 1-of-4 kicking on the day, WVU has to be thinking touchdown.
TCU wins the toss and will defend, which is the preferred position in college overtime.

WVU 31, TCU 31—End of Regulation
Free football for everyone!
If the field goal was the plan, why did WVU force the ball deep?
Bitancurt hooked it wide left. TCU will have it back with 13 seconds.
Tyler Bitancurt has kicked a couple of game-winning field goals in his career. He did it last year against South Florida and against Pitt his freshman year.
Smith not capitalizing on his Heisman moment. Both of those last two throws should have been intercepted.
Andrew Buie with some tough running puts WVU just outside of field goal range. Remember, Bitancurt will be kicking into the wind if it comes to that.
Geno Smith has a potential Hiesman moment in his hands right now.

Touchdown TCU
WVU 31, TCU 31—Fourth Quarter, 1:28
There's the WVU defense. Just an awful collapse in the secondary.
Josh Boyce had about 20 yards of space and took that the distance. Boykin was almost sacked in the end zone, but he again used his legs to escape and find Boyce.
The pressure was there, but the coverage wasn't for WVU.
Make that 95 yards. Josh Francis with another huge sack.
