The Oakland Raiders: GM or No GM?

Jason GereContributor IMarch 15, 2009

Has anyone else noticed a drastic shift in the way Oakland is handling this offseason?

Monster free agents such as Albert Haynesworth and Terrell Owens were not even invited for a sit-down. This all makes me stop and wonder what has changed.

Since Lane Kiffin was fired and Al Davis said he was going to bring in a "Football Man," I have wondered who would want the job. Davis is notoriously stubborn and trusts very few people in the football world.

Yet, I really believe that someone is working with Mr. Davis.

We signed Nandi and Shane and have kept our core players, while cutting anyone that was not a "team guy."

I am really excited that we are finally rebuilding the right way, I just think maybe a ghost of Raiders past (Bruce Allen) is somehow involved. Has anyone else felt this way?
