OK, so it's March already and there are questions beginning to circulate. Who will the No. 1 seeds in the tournament be? Well, here is my opinion:
Even though I hate North Carolina, I have to give them a No. 1 seed. They lost four games all year, and they play in the ACC, which is undoubtedly one of the best conferences. Even though they lost yesterday to Florida State, so did Pitt, UConn, Michigan State, Oklahoma, and Kansas. So yeah, they're a No. 1 seed.
Louisville is one of the top teams that didn't lose in their conference tourney, which, in my eyes, should give them a No. 1 seed automatically. They play in probably the best conference, the Big East, and they are ranked in the top five in the country. So yeah, Louisville is in.
They're on a 25-game winning streak, conference champions, 10-1 on the road, and ranked in the top five. For those reasons, they are going to be a No. 1 seed. Some people would put UConn or Pitt here but no, not me.
Yes, I said it, Michigan State. There are going to be a lot of people bitching me out about this, but I'm staying put here. Even though they lost yesterday, they still won the Big Ten by four games. They have the best record against the top 50 in the country, and they have the fourth best RPI. I'm probably just saying this because I am biased, but I still am giving it to them. So go ahead, start bitching.
