NFL Week 9: Head-to-Head Stats You Need to Know

Following is a look at this week’s NFL schedule and some historical stats on the head-to-head matchups:

Denver vs. Cincinnati: Denver has won the last three games; those three games have been decided by a total of eight points. The two teams have split the last four games played in Cincinnati. Denver leads the series 18-8. Denver won the last game played in Cincinnati 12-7 (Sept. 2009).

Baltimore vs. Cleveland: Baltimore has a 20-7 lead in the all-time series. The Browns have scored only 70 points in the last seven games against the Ravens. Baltimore has won the last nine meetings between the two teams. The last Cleveland win at home was on Sept. 30, 2007.

Arizona vs. Green Bay: Green Bay holds a 46-23-4 lead in the series. The Packers have won the last eight at home against the Cardinals. Green Bay has won nine of the last 13. The Packers have scored 109 points in the last three games. The last time the Pack lost a home game to the Cardinals was in Milwaukee in 1949 when the Cards were in Chicago.

Buffalo vs. Houston: The two teams have played five games; the Bills have a 3-2 advantage. Houston has never beaten Buffalo at home. The Bills won the last game played in Houston, 24-21 on Nov. 19, 2006.

Miami vs. Indianapolis: Miami has won 46 of the 70 games played in the series. The Dolphins have won five of the last six in Indianapolis. The Colts have won the last three games. Since 2000, the Dolphins have won five, the Colts four. The last three games were decided by four, five and six points.

Detroit vs. Jacksonville: The two franchises have played four games with the Jaguars winning three of those contests. The Jags have never lost to the Lions in Detroit. Jacksonville has won the last three games.

Chicago vs. Tennessee: The two teams have split the 10 games they have played. Chicago has won three of the last four. Chicago has won the last two games played in Tennessee, 19-17 and 23-20. The Titans won the last game played between the two teams, 21-14 on Nov, 9, 2008.

Carolina vs. Washington: The Redskins have a 7-3 advantage in the series. Carolina has won three of the last four. Washington is 5-0 in games against Carolina at home. Washington has scored exactly 17 points in four of the last five games against the Panthers.

Tampa Bay vs. Oakland: The Raiders have won six and lost two of the eight games against the Bucs. Oakland is 5-0 against Tampa Bay at home. Oakland has won the last two games. Oakland has scored 127 points in the last four games against Tampa Bay.

Minnesota vs. Seattle: Seattle holds a one-game lead in the series, 6-5. The Vikings have won three of the last four. The Seahawks are 4-1 in games played in Seattle. Minnesota has outscored Seattle 123-56 in the last four games.

Pittsburgh vs. New York Giants: The Giants lead the series 44-28-3. The two teams have split the last four games. Four of the last five games have been decided by seven points or less. The Steelers won the last game played in New York, 33-30 (Dec. 18, 2004).

Dallas vs. Atlanta: Dallas leads the series 16-8. The Cowboys have won seven of the last 10. The two teams have split the last six games played in Atlanta.

Philadelphia vs. New Orleans: The Eagles have won 16 and lost 11 of the 27 games played between the two franchises. The two teams have split the last four games played in New Orleans. The Saints have won three of the last four. The last five games have been high-scoring with New Orleans scoring 145 points and the Eagles scoring 141.
