NFL MVP Predictions According to Howie Long

BR StudiosFeatured ColumnistNovember 1, 2012

Now that we've reached the halfway point of the NFL season, the bleachers are abuzz with early MVP chatter.

Some of us are convinced that the award should go to veteran running back Frank Gore, a consistent force for the San Francisco 49ers offense.

On the other side of the ball, young defensive end J.J. Watt is a big part of the reason the Houston Texans are one of the best teams in the league.

Of course, there are several quarterbacks in the running, but who is the league's most deserving signal caller?

To help us determine who should take home the award, we asked NFL Hall of Famer Howie Long to give us his early picks.

Tune into the video above to find out what he thinks, and make sure you weigh in with your own picks in the comments section below.
