Notre Dame has landed its 22nd commitment of its 2013 class in Hamilton, Arizona defensive back Cole Luke, per a report from

Luke is a tremendous get for Brian Kelly and his staff, as they had been seeking to add depth to an already thin cornerback position.

Luke had seen the Irish play in person on three separate occasions this season, with the first coming in Dublin, Ireland, where the Irish pounded Navy, 50-10. Luke then took his official visit to South Bend over the weekend of the Michigan game, followed by another live view of Notre Dame during his official visit to Oklahoma last weekend.

His commitment moves the Irish up to No. 2 in's team recruiting rankings, with USC being the only school ahead of Notre Dame.

Luke's other finalists included Texas and Oklahoma, both of which had been rumored to have been leading Notre Dame prior to his official visit to Norman last weekend.

The 6'0", 165-pound Luke joins Devin Butler and Rashad Kinlaw as the third defensive back in Notre Dame's 2013 class, which has dubbed itself as the "Irish Mob."

With Luke's commitment, the most compelling storyline to keep an eye on is Notre Dame's recruitment of uncommitted safety L.J. Moore and USC pledge defensive back Max Redfield.
