Courtesy of mlb.com Wednesday night came the news that the Brewers informed reliever Jose Veras that they intend to outright him off their 40-man roster. Assuming he clears waivers, Veras will become a free agent.

This is merely Step 1 in deconstructing, then reconstructing a bullpen that ranked last in the majors in 2012 with a 4.66 ERA, 29 blown saves and 33 losses. Actually, the deconstructing began with allowing Francisco Rodriguez and Livan Hernandez to become free agents. They won't be back, either.
