LA Lakers vs. Portland Trail Blazers 10/31/12: Video Highlights and Recap
Two games into the season you can hear panicked cries rising over Tinseltown. The mighty and revamped Lakers fell to 0-2 on the season with a 116-106 loss to the Trailblazers in Portland on Halloween.
The Lakers' offense looked much better than it did in the opener, but the defense was atrocious and the Lakers came out stale after halftime and were outscored 30-19 in the third quarter.
Meanwhile, the Blazers looked like a young team on the rise. Rookie point guard Damian Lillard had 23 points and 11 assists in a fantastic NBA debut.

Player of the Game: Nicolas Batum
Batum enters this season in a whole new world of pressure after signing a massive contract and he is off to a great start.
The small forward had 26 points, six rebounds and three steals, and time and again he came up with big buckets for the Blazers.
What's Next for Lakers
The Lakers will enjoy two straight home games as they "host" the Clippers for an L.A. showdown on Friday and then the Pistons on Sunday.

The Blazers have to hit the road for three straight as they will play the Thunder on Friday, the Rockets on Saturday and the Mavericks on Monday.
