BASRA, IRAQ - FEBRUARY 10: A British serviceman works out in the gym at the main British base, the Combined Operating Base (COB), at Basra Airport, on February 10, 2009 near Basra, Iraq. The vast tented camp is home to thousands of British service person

To the majority of the public, boxing training is simple and consists of waking up early, jogging around, hitting a heavy-bag, eating raw eggs, and resisting sexual activity.

However, many top trainers and champions have been using techniques unknown to most fans and even some boxers.

When the Full Body Nude Grease-down technique was brought to light in 2007, fans couldn't believe it.

Interestingly, the grease down was only the tip of the iceberg.

James Toney, Roy Jones Jr, and Manny Pacquiao are three of the most successful boxers of all time and have made use of some of the most unconventional training methods.

James Toney's Agility Secret

The Tae Bo guru, Billy Blanks, trained the former middleweight champion and current heavyweight contender, James “Lights Out” Toney, for his fight with the Nigerian, Sam Peter, on Jan. 6, 2007.

Billy Blanks stated to the press: "I have somebody cooking for him and he eats five meals a day, drinking a lot of water, which he has never done as much as he is doing now," said Blanks. "He is cleaning his body out. James can outbox (most) at the weight he was.

"But now, he is going to be able to identify boxing with his body and be able to make them all come together and become a total weapon."

According to sources at the camp, James Toney surrendered himself completely to Billy Blanks and was subjected to the harshest of martial arts training.

Training such as sparring blindfolded without a jockstrap, the full body nude grease down, not showering for three days in a row, and being suspended in mid-air with ropes tied to his legs in order to force him to do a split.

A fitness assistant at the camp that prefers to remain anonymous said the following: “At first he did really bad with the blind sparring, but now he’s getting better.

"Last week, he only got knocked out once. If you’ve ever sparred blindfolded, you know what I mean. His kicking ability is also improving.”

James Toney went on to lose a disputed decision but was still impressive, considering the evasiveness and agility he displayed in spite of his size disadvantage against the naturally larger Sam Peter.

Roy Jones' Punching Power Secret

Roy Jones Jr. is pound for pound one of the greatest punchers to grace the sport.

Jones Jr. retained KO power in every weight class that he competed in and even hurt John Ruiz with a straight right hand in his heavyweight debut.

Some detractors allege that Jones Jr. was probably on steroids but the available information leads us to a more natural explanation for his great punching power.

While under the tutelage of his father, Roy Jones Sr., Roy Jones Jr. was not allowed to have sex. Jones was only allowed to masturbate twice a day and could not use the same hand twice.

Some trainers have stated that masturbation is key to developing punching power as the repetitive wrist motion is comparative to throwing double and triple left hooks.

As Jones Sr. believed in fighters being well rounded and being able to use both hands with equal skill, even Jones Jr.'s private masturbation sessions were regulated so that he would not just use one hand.

This was one of the main reasons why Jones initially departed from his father.

As a testament to the benefits of this training, Jones Jr. became known as a two-fisted KO puncher with blinding speed and the ability to throw speedy triple and quadruple hooks with the same hand with power on every punch.

Nowadays, some fighters practice masturbation before a fight but have tweaked the method to refrain from ejaculation therefore increasing the pent up frustration and aggressiveness in the ring.

Manny Pacquiao's Ferocity Secret

It was recently reported that Manny Pacquiao's favorite dish is Salmon Kebabs, a known aphrodisiac.

It has also been reported that Pacquiao's ferocity in the ring is due in part to his practice of non ejaculatory sex.

Non ejaculatory sex is a practice directly linked to fighters being abstinent from sex before a fight.

In reality, most trainers have concluded that there is nothing wrong or debilitating about having constant sex before a fight just as long as the fighter does not ejaculate.

A fighter that is able to maintain the focus necessary to have sexual intercourse at least three times a week for three months without ejaculating will be virtually impossible to beat.

The focus and the intensity that a fighter, that hasn't ejaculated in three months, brings to a fight is just uncanny.

Now imagine if a fighter that partakes of this particular training also adds an aphrodisiac like salmon to his diet.

If young fighters want to be able to replicate the ferocity of Manny Pacquiao, they need to follow his example.
