Football and salsa dancing will continue to be linked in the city of New York going forward, as Victor Cruz and the New York Giants have agreed on the structure of a new contract for the impending restricted free agent.
At least, that's what Cruz said in an interview with sports radio station WFAN in New York on Tuesday, according to Ralph Vacchiano of the New York Daily News.
We'll see how Hakeem Nicks reacts to this. Nicks has put in more years than Cruz and will be entering a contract year in 2013 if he doesn't land a new deal before then. You'd think he'd also be a priority, but his injury history could make things more complicated.
Jimmy Burch of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram looks at how Bruce Carter has gone from untested rookie to the signal-caller on defense for the Cowboys. It's been a huge second season for him.
Rainer Sabin of the Dallas Morning News writes that Sean Lee has undergone surgery on the toe that cost him the remainder of the 2012 season.
New York Giants
From Jorge Castillo of the Newark Star-Ledger: The Giants are still slated to host the Pittsburgh Steelers at 4:25 p.m. ET on Sunday despite the fact the New York area is still picking up the pieces from Hurricane Sandy.
Mark Herzlich is likely to start for the injured Chase Blackburn against Pittsburgh, according to USA Today's Mike Garafolo.
DeSean Jackson supports Vick while also believing Nick Foles is ready, per Jeff McLane of the Philadelphia Inquirer.
From Mark Maske of the Washington Post: As DeAngelo Hall awaits punishment for going bonkers on an official on Sunday, he's now pointing a finger at the official involved.
From the Post's Mike Jones: Mike Shanahan says the Redskins could be 5-3 if not for injuries. He's probably right. If they could finish games stronger, it could be a lot better than that.
