Shaun Alexander's Days Are Numbered

Shaun Alexander, also known as Mr. Touchdown, has been in a long slump.

Some people said it was the Madden Curse, but it's been a while since 2007.

In 2005, Shaun had 1,880 rushing yards and 27 rushing TDs.

In '06 he only had 896 rushing yards and seven rushing TDs.

In '07 he had just 716 rushing yards and four touchdowns, and in 2008 24 yards and no touchdowns.

Remember, in 2004 he rushed for 1,900 yards. He is really in a bad slump, and is only 31 years old. He should have way more gas in the tank at 31.

He has been released by the Seahawks and now the Redskins. Honestly, I cannot see any team picking him up now because of his performance in recent seasons. There are a lot of talented young running backs to compete with, as well.

If he is still trying to play he needs to sit down and ask himself what he can do to get better and what is he missing?

It seems like his legs is gone. Only a few years ago, he broke the record for most rushing TDs in and won NFL MVP in '06.

Today, I just cant see someone wanting to take the risk with Shaun.
