The outcome of the game between the Alabama Crimson Tide and LSU Tigers is going to have a huge impact on the college football recruiting scene.

This is a game that's going to sway recruits, make up minds and ultimately decide who comes away with some of the SEC's biggest prospects. It will also have a big national impact though.

These are the two biggest teams in the conference, if not in the nation, and until programs like Florida, Georgia or even USC or Notre Dame can prove otherwise, LSU and Alabama still dominate the college football landscape.

This year's matchup will feature the undefeated 8-0 Crimson Tide and the 7-1 Tigers. It very well may determine who ends up winning the SEC West and goes on to the SEC title game, but there are also some major recruiting names on the line.

A win for LSU would be monumental. Not only would they be putting themselves in prime position to get on top of the SEC, but there will be a few elite recruits in attendance that could really be swayed completely in their favor.

There will be a very important 5-star player in attendance (via James Smith/ that LSU will really want to impress in wide receiver Ricky Seals-Jones.

Seals-Jones is considered to be one of the best receivers in the 2013 class, so getting his commitment would be a huge win for Les Miles and the Tigers He has the ability to be an elite wideout in LSU's offense and getting him to commit just may bump LSU up over USC for the No. 1 recruiting class in the nation according to

This game will also have a very big impact on the national recruiting scene, and it all revolves around the magic number: one.

If LSU is able to pull of a win they would be handing the Crimson Tide their first loss of the season.

This will have a huge impact on the national football scene, as teams like Kansas State, Notre Dame and Oregon will all of a sudden find themselves as favorites to play in the National Championship, granted they can stay undefeated.

Think how much stronger those program's recruiting pitches will end up being when they can say that they have a legitimate shot at playing for the National Title. There will be more media attention on those programs, which means recruits will also be paying more attention. This also adds a lot of prestige to their program from a football perspective.

One loss to Alabama could completely move the focus of college football away from them, and put it on a program like Oregon, Notre Dame or even Kansas State.  That said, an Alabama win would keep them undefeated and keep the status quo in terms of National Championship relevancy.

Either way you look at it, this one game has the potential to the college football landscape.

Whether it be locally for Alabama and LSU, or nationally, this game is going to make a huge impact on college football recruiting.
