Lions Trade Cory Redding For Julian Peterson?

Nick AverillContributor IMarch 14, 2009

The Lions are looking to trade Cory Redding for Julian Peterson.  Peterson would not take a pay cut so the Seahawks are shopping him.

In my opinion this is a very smart move by the Lions.  Instead of waiting for him to be cut so we only have a slight chance to sign him, trade for him to guarantee we get him.

Here is the link

This move will actually cost the Lions about $2 million worth of cap room though, but we do off load Redding's 7 year $49 million contract.

Andre Fluellen right now looks to be the starter at UT.  But this also could open up the doors to draft Jerry with the 20th pick in this years draft.
