What Do The Minnesota Vikings Need to Improve in the Upcoming Season?

michael jordanContributor INovember 1, 2016

All right. The Vikings are a great team.  But there is always room for improvement.

First, when the Vikings drafted Adrian Peterson, in the first round, they improved their running game tremendous amounts.  But now they need a line to help their seventh overall pick.

With Matt Birk gone to the Ravens, they are missing a center.  The backups can handle the job well, but if Brad Childress goes to free agency, there are many options.  But I wouldn't waste a draft pick on a center.

They could also need a new tackle to replace David cook.  The guy is good but is not quick enough to handle a running back like  Peterson.  For this position there are not many backup choices, but once again, free agency is an option — such as Wesley Britt, from New England or Vernon Carey from Miami.  Those are just two of the many options for Childress.

Otherwise, the line is "OK" with Steve Hutchinson.  The rest of the line is good but needs some work. And with some work, a great team can be produced.
