The 2012 Major League Baseball season is over, and the San Francisco Giants ended it with seven consecutive wins to capture their second World Series title in three years.
While a lot of things are going to change over the next three-plus months before spring training begins, it is never too early to look ahead to 2013.
This could end up being one of the most intriguing offseasons in recent memory. Last year featured the spending bonanza of the Miami Marlins that didn't work out as they had hoped. The Los Angeles Angels outdid them and everyone else by spending $300 million on Albert Pujols and C.J. Wilson.
Even though this offseason doesn't feature two superstar players in the prime of their careers like Pujols and Prince Fielder, there is the drama surrounding Josh Hamilton's future. Additionally, Zack Greinke could get one of the biggest deals for a pitcher in history.
But before we get through all that, it is fun to speculate about what could be based on how things stand right now.
