Could Sid Rosenberg Be Returning to WFAN As Francesa's Sidekick?

Tony ArnoldineCorrespondent IMarch 13, 2009

File this one under pure speculation, but Sid Rosenberg could be in the mix — along with Max Kellerman — to join Mike Francesa on "Mike'd Up."

Rosenberg and 790 The Ticket in Miami have parted ways, according to his agent.

Rosenberg was once a sports update man for Don Imus' morning show on WFAN and was also a mid-day co-host for the station along with Joe Benigno. He has been rumored as a possible replacement for Chris Russo for months now and his departure from 790 The Ticket would certainly seem to be a move in that direction.

Personally I'd rather see Kellerman in the seat next to Francesa, if only because he might actually disagree with Mike once in a while. "Mad Dog" Russo was basically a lapdog on-air for Francesa towards the end of his WFAN tenure and Rosenberg would likely do the same.
