FC Barcelona Transfer: 10 Possible Replacements for Xavi and Iniesta
While both players have a few more years to go in their career, La Blaugrana will have to think of the future because of age and injuries.
Zee News of India reported that Xavi Hernandez and Andres Iniesta had health problems before Euro 2012.
Xavi Hernandez's calf injury last April sidelined him for two weeks.
Andres Iniesta suffered an injury to the right thigh when Spain faced Georgia in the 2014 World Cup qualifications in September. He was out for two weeks and missed the UEFA Champions League match between Barca and Spartak Mosocw.
Who are the possible replacements for Hernandez and Iniesta? Here are 10 possible replacements for Xavi and Iniesta.
The`possible replacements are composed of a new generation of football players from Barca and outside. An invitation is made for BR Readers to sit back, relax, and enjoy the ten possible replacements for Xavi Hernandez and Andres Iniesta.
Ganzo is a midfielder for Santos FC who has attracted interest from two Serie A clubs. He scored one goal in five matches during the Brazilian football season.
He participated in the 2010 victories of the Copa Brasil and Campeonato Paulista for his team. Ganzo managed to score 11 goals in 19 appearances in these events.
While he is a possible replacement for Xavi and Iniesta, he is 23 years old. Barca may want someone younger and/or from their academy.
9. Jonathan Dos Santos
Jonathan Dos Santos is a midfielder who started in Barca B and rose in La Blaugrana. Dos Santos participated in events such as the UEFA Champions League and Super Cup.
According to the FC Barcelona webpage, he is a precise and versatile midfielder. He started to make his presence known during the 2011-12 season.
Dos Santos, at 22 years of age, can make passes from deep areas of the field.

It would have been better to find a photo of Jordi Quintilla Guasch. But above you will see a group photo of Barca B since Quintilla Guasch belongs to the team.
According to the FC Barcelona website, Jordi Quintilla Guasch is a midfielder who can play on the left side. He has been with Barca B since last year.
My personal prediction is that he may well be another Xavi or Iniesta in the future.

Sergi Roberto is another promising midfielder from Barca B. He can work in the midfield and has the desire to go ahead in La Blaugrana.
The YouTube video, courtesy of Air Futbol TV, shows Sergi Roberto in action.
3. Miguel Angel Sainz
Miguel Angel Sainz is a midfielder who is in Barca groups such as Juvenil and Barca B. He utilizes an attacking style in the midfield.
He can be appreciated in this video showing his power on the field.
While this may be a distant concept, FC Barcelona may want to find a replacement for Xavi and Iniesta at Flumingense FC in Brazil. Wellington Silva is a midfielder for the club in his early 20s with an impressive record.
During the 2012 Brazilian football season, Wellington scored six goals and had three assists and 39 shots in 25 matches. The following YouTube video, courtesy of Talentos Channel, shows the young star at his best in a Flumingense FC match.
Airton is a possible replacement (although a remote one) for FC Barcelona. Airton scored one goal on two shots in 12 matches during the 2012 Brazilian football season.
You can see Airton scoring a goal in this YouTube video between 37 and 50 seconds.
The purpose of the slideshow was to show possible and eventual replacements for Xavi and Iniesta. It was based on a transition from one generation to another.
