Rumor Mill March 13

Hi people and welcome to yet another episode of the Rumor Mill
Let's begin, shall we?

Money Spinners

WWE is also feeling the pinch of a broken down economy , here are some figures for you to digest.

Merchandise orders for were at 516 per day, although this was down 31% from the same period last year. The company shipped 331,000 DVD units, which was down 15% from the same period last year.

Men's Fitness has published an interview with John Cena where he candidly talks about his journey into the WWE and his journey as an entertainer.

MF: How did you get introduced to wrestling?

JC: I always wanted to do it, but I didn't know the outlet to do it. I remembered from documentaries like "Beyond the Mat" that there were minor leagues in wrestling, and if you wanted to do it, you just had to look around for a school. The joke of jokes is when I went to California, a good friend of mine goes, 'Hey, I'm training to be a wrestler. You can come down, I'll train you.' Twenty minutes away from my house in Massachusetts was the School of Killer Kowalsky, the famous wrestler who trained Triple H. It was so secretive; I never knew it was there. I had to go all the way out west to some Podunk school no one's ever heard of.

MF: When were you signed to WWE?

JC: They signed me a year later. That was a good time to be an up-and-coming wrestler because there were two brands. Vince [McMahon] had a brand, and Ted Turner had a brand. Because they were in such direct competition with one another, they were just signing everybody. And I was godawful rotten when I got signed.

MF: Do you remember your first match?

JC: I do. It was with Kurt Angle in Chicago and I was nervous as anything. I pretty much got my butt kicked, but I made it through

MF: Do you have a favorite WrestleMania moment?

JC: Hogan-Andre, WresleMania III. As unstoppable as Hogan was, I didn't see him beating Andre the Giant, let alone picking him up. The stage was perfect, 93,000 at the Pontiac Silver Dome. No one remembers anything else about that match, but that moment is so frozen in time. It was a moment that defined Wrestle Mania. It was perfect.

On The Diva Front

Former WWE Women's Champion Amy "Lita" Dumas will not be part of the 25 Diva Battle Royale at this year's WrestleMania.

Miss Dumas contacted a number of fans who have reached out to her through her band's MySpace page and told them in no uncertain terms that she will not make any WWE appearances WrestleMania weekend.

However Miss Dumas and her band will appear at Booker T's legends of Wrestling Fanfest.

Legends and Icons

Hulk Hogan and estranged wife, Linda Bollea, lawyers face off regarding money matters, suggesting that Hogan is hiding assets.

Oh, to heck with it, will someone please deck these two idiots out in ring gear throw both the lawyers in the ring, winner takes all.

Jesse Ventura sour grapes

Former Minnesota governor Jesse Ventura says he would have investigated WWE if he ran for and won a Senate seat in the latest election.

"If I would run for the senate I was going to do a senatorial investigation on the WWE."
"They tell you when you wrestle. They tell you who you wrestle. They tell whether you win or lose. They tell you where you’re going to wrestle," Ventura said. "They are your boss as much as any job in the universe."

"There is no personal with him for the most part. I’ve had a good and bad relationship with Vince," Ventura said. "Vince is like any powerful…powerful mogul who runs something. The business itself, he’s married to that and nothing’s gonna deter him from that."

Mmmm...Maybe Vince is not paranoid, maybe the every one is out to get him? watch out Vince. I'll bet any of you any sum you want, that Vince won't ever vote for him. There, there Vince , bad man gone away.
