After a rough and tough 2008 season, Jeff Gordon and Kurt Busch are looking forward to a great 2009 season. Gordon, a four-time cup champion and Busch, the 2004 series champion, are off to a great start after four races in 2009.

Each driver has had a great average starting position, and has been in the top four with fastest laps run. Both the No. 24 and No. 2 have gone above and beyond their 2008 numbers.

In 2008, Gordon led only 94 laps. In the four races of 2009, he has led 142. In 2008 for Busch, he led only nine laps, this year he has led 237.

After, "Hot-lanta," Gordon is leading the points, and is 43 points ahead of Clint Bowyer. Busch is third, 46 points behind leader Gordon.

If both of these teams can continue to dominate the 2009 season, 2008 will soon seem like a distant memory.
