The Mississippi State Bulldogs (21-12) advanced to the semifinals of the SEC Tournament behind an 82-68 victory over South Carolina Friday.

Barry Stewart led the Bulldogs with 21 points and three rebounds and Dee Bost chipped in with 14 points and a team-high 10 rebounds.

South Carolina was led by Zam Frederick's 20 points and Dominique Archie's 16 points and eight rebounds.

Stewart was hot from three-point range throughout, having hit three treys, which put the Bulldogs ahead for good.

The Gamecocks' bubble might have popped with this 14-point loss to Mississippi State.

They have now lost three out of four, but the Gamecocks do have an RPI of 49, though that may be ignored by the selection committee due to this recent skid.

Mississippi State will play LSU tomorrow.
