Texas Tech 24 Kansas State 55 Final
Keep it tuned here as we give you scores, updates and analysis of the game between the undefeated No. 3 Kansas State Wildcats and the No. 14 Texas Tech Red Raiders.
Eric Ward scores a garbage time TD but this one is over.
Klein completes a pass to Angelo Pease for a 7 yard TD. It is just a question of the point spread now. KSU has ground the Tech defense into submission.
Pick 6 by Arthur Brown. THERE he is. KSU has made it a blowout.
Hubert adds another rushing touchdown. KSU is putting this one out of reach. Nice stiff arm by Hubert on Cody Davis. Davis will end up an All-Conference safety this year. Solid play by Hubert.
KSU forces an incompletion on a 3rd and 20. Will get the ball back up by 17 with a little under 3 minutes left in the 3rd quarter. Wildcats fans have to feel pretty comfortable.
Have not heard KSU MLB Arthur Brown's name much in this game. The best MLB in the Big 12 has been very quiet today.
Klein with a 22 yard TD run right up the gut.
The 28-headed monster that is Texas Tech's receiving corps paying off on this drive. Doege spreading the love, moving the ball.— David Ubben (@davidubben) October 27, 2012
SaDale Foster answers with an 8 yard touchdown run. Tech is still in this game.
Klein with a TD run. If Tech does not respond with a score here, this one is likely over.
KSU forces a fumble and gets a facemask penalty tacked on. KSU can likely put the game out of reach if they get a TD here.
KSU drives down the field and scores on a 22 yard laser from Klein. THAT is why you do not run the clock out to end the half.
Been watching TTU-KSU on tv that's muted, turned to it on my other TV. Realized it's Gus Johnson. Won't make that mistake again.— Michael Felder (@InTheBleachers) October 27, 2012
You are playing the No, 3 team in the nation on the road and you run a prolific passing offense. With 1:30 left in the half you decide to just run out the clock? KSU will receive the ball to start the 3rd quarter. Tuberville is playing not to lose. That does not work unless your name is Les Miles.
With a minute left in the half, Tech is trying to run the clock out while down 3. Surprised they do not go to their one minute offense.
KSU RB John Hubert spins out of a tackle by the entire Tech defensive line to score a TD and tie the game at 10.
Eric Ward makes a great catch in double coverage for Tech.
Good job of sudden change defense by Tech. The refs ignored a blatant pass interference by Tech safety Cody Davis. KSU had the ball on the Tech 14 but was forced to settle for a field goal.
KSU Mishaq Williams sacks Doege causing a fumble. KSU returns the fumble for a touchdown but an illegal block during the return gives the Wildcats the ball at the Tech 14 yard line.
Tech DE Kerry Hyder Jr. has had a great first quarter. Just batted down a pass on 3rd and long to force a KSU punt.
Art Kaufman should get some national consideration for assistant coach of the year. The Texas Tech defensive coordinator has completely turned around one of the worst defenses in the nation. In the process he saved Tommy Tuberville's job.
Only took one drive for the announcers to suggest that Doege should be in the Heisman conversation. Can we save everyone a lot of time, and just say every quarterback in the Big 12 is a Heisman candidate?
Tech's OL is giving Doege all day. He finds Eric Ward for a 32 yard touchdown.
Tech is receiving to start the game. The KSU crowd is already into it.
