Early Favorites to Win World Cup 2014 in Brazil

Michael CummingsWorld Football Lead WriterNovember 16, 2016

The next FIFA World Cup remains more than a year away and, for the moment, qualification is the biggest story in international football.

Even so, it’s never too early to start making predictions. So then, which nation will win the 2014 FIFA World Cup?

The hosts seem like a decent place to start. Brazil have won five World Cups—more than any other nation—but the last title came in 2002.

Only the football-crazed country of Brazil would consider that an unacceptable title drought, but anything less than another World Cup will be considered a disappointment for the Sambas in 2014.

So will Neymar and Co. lift the trophy? Or will the pressure be too much to handle?

In this video, B/R World Football Lead Writers Michael Cummings and Will Tidey discuss the early favorites for the 2014 World Cup. Once you’ve seen the video, be sure to leave your predictions in the comments below.
