It's now or never, Tigers.
Detroit now trails two games to none after Madison Bumgarner and the San Francisco Giants rolled to a decisive 2-0 win on Thursday night. With the World Series shifting to Detroit, the Tigers, who have scored three runs over the first two games, are going to have to awaken the bats to avoid the dreaded 3-0 deficit.
They will have to do so against veteran Ryan Vogelsong, who has carried the Giants with a 1.42 ERA and 2-0 record through three starts during these playoffs.
Of course, the Tigers should feel confident in Anibal Sanchez, who has a 1.35 ERA and 0.98 WHIP during the postseason, meaning this game has all the makings of a pitcher's duel.
The crucial Game 3 will take place in Detroit on Saturday at 8 p.m. ET. Check out the TBS analysts as they further discuss the matchup.
