Predictions for Each Match at WWE Hell in a Cell

0 of 6

This Sunday, the WWE will be holding the Hell in the a Cell pay-per-view in Atlanta.

While many around the WWE Universe are skeptical of this PPV, I believe it has a lot of potential. Matches like Team Rhodes Scholars vs. Team Hell No and Ryback vs. CM Punk have the ability to steal the show. There is also the questions of "Will Dolph Ziggler cash in his briefcase?" or "What will happen with John Cena and AJ?" that add an element of the unknown to the PPV.

Let's take a look at each of the announced matches and predict the winners. Also, I predict a few matches that may take place on the card. This will include a spoiler match that was announced at the SmackDown tapings.

Alberto Del Rio vs. Randy Orton

1 of 6

In a match that has had little build up, Randy Orton will take on Alberto Del Rio.

This match has been thrown together over the past few weeks on SmackDown and Raw. It seems like the WWE doesn't have anything else to do for these two so they have built a mini-feud holdover. This match should be a hard-hitting and intense exchange. Both of these wrestlers like to keep up the intensity in the ring and it will be on display Sunday.

Don't look for this feud to continue too much past this pay-per-view.

    Prediction: Randy Orton

Team Rhodes Scholars vs. Team Hell No (c) for the Tag Team Championships

2 of 6

The match of Team Rhodes Scholars vs. Team Hell No for the Tag Team Championships is one that may steal the show.

All four participants bring a great ability inside of the ring. As long as there isn't a lot of time wasted on comedy bits and arguments, this match should deliver. The WWE has spent a lot of TV time building for this match with the tag team tournament. This match should be 25-30 minutes to satisfy the storytelling that should take place.

Team Hell No doesn't need to keep the belts past this PPV. They have successfully brought the tag team division back to prominence. The WWE should put the belts on Rhodes Scholars and set up a Daniel Bryan vs. Kane match for down the road.

    Prediction: Team Rhodes Scholars

The Miz vs Kofi Kingston (C) for the Intercontinental Championship

3 of 6

In another match that could steal the show, the Miz will take on Kofi Kingston for the Intercontinental championship.

This feud started a few weeks back with a stellar performance between the two on RAW. The feud escalates when Kofi connected his Trouble in Paradise kick with the side of Miz's face, causing him to bleed. A few days later on Main Event, Kofi beat the Miz and became the champion. This feud has little backstory but should be entertaining between the ropes. Both wrestlers bring a excitement to the ring with their skill set and risk-taking style.

I doubt the WWE will pull the belt off Kofi so soon, so look for him to come through with a victory on Sunday. The WWE should continue this feud until at least Survivor Series.

    Prediction: Kofi Kingston

Big Show vs. Sheamus (C) for the World Heavyweight Championship

4 of 6

In one of the major matches, Sheamus will take on the Big Show for the World Heavyweight Championship.

This match has been built over the past few weeks after Big Show beat Randy Orton to become the No. 1 contender. Sheamus and Big Show have taken part in mind games, debates, science experiments and banter.

Will this lead to a great match on Sunday? Doubtful.

This match will be a brutal war with very few technical aspects. The saving grace for this match maybe Dolph Ziggler. Ziggler has promised to cash in his briefcase on Sunday. I believe that he will indeed cash it in and become the new heavyweight champion. This could ignite a feud with Sheamus or Randy Orton down the line.

Prediction: Sheamus will win the war but Dolph Ziggler will cash in his briefcase and become champion

Ryback vs. CM Punk (C) for the WWE Title in Hell in a Cell

5 of 6

In the most surprising matchup in recent memory, CM Punk will defend his title against Ryback.

This match was made official on October 15 on RAW. John Cena put over Ryback and withdrew his name from contention for the match. It should be an interesting affair between the monster and Punk. This match will be in the hands of Punk, as he will have to carry Ryback. Ryback has not been tested in long matches but with Punk in the ring, he shouldn't have a problem.

This match will be a brutal exchange inside of the cell. Look for large amounts of blood and brutal spots to keep fans intrigued in this match. The WWE will need to craft this event carefully so look for some outside interference. Look for Brock Lesnar to intervene and cost possibly cost Ryback the match. This match seems destined for a swerve at the finish.

Prediction: CM Punk wins and retain his title.

Other Matches That Could Happen (Spoilers)

6 of 6

Five matches doesn't seem like enough to fill a PPV card. There should be filler matches/segments during the card.

    Here are my predictions:

Justin Gabriel vs. Antonio Cesaro (C) for the US Title
Prediction: Justin Gabriel wins and becomes champion

As announced on SmackDown: Layla vs. Kaitlyn vs. Eve (C) for Divas Title

    bKaitlyn wins and becomes champion

A 3MB segment (unfortunately) or beat down of Santino Marella

More explanation of the John Cena and AJ "scandal."
