With Oregon on the Horizon, Could USC Be in Trouble at Arizona?

Before USC heads home to take on Oregon, there still is one more game in its way. And this isn’t just any game.

Rich Rodriguez has his offense rolling, and Arizona will welcome USC on Saturday in a game that could be closer than many believe. The sportsbooks have labeled the Wildcats less than a touchdown underdog in this one, and while Matt Barkley and the Trojan offense looked healthy last week, keep in mind that came against Colorado.

Barkley has slowly worked his way back into the Heisman discussion, although there is a long way to go. Back-to-back big games here could certainly help solidify his candidacy, but going 2-0 during the next two weeks is also a very tall order.

Is USC looking ahead? Is Arizona better than many believe? The answer to both could be “yes,” which could spell trouble if Lane Kiffin’s crew isn’t prepared.
