Oklahoma State-Oklahoma: Cowboys Sneak Past Sooners 71-70

Giants27Analyst IOctober 11, 2016

The Oklahoma State Cowboys desperately needed a win today against No. 6 ranked Oklahoma, and they got it by a score of 71-70.

Oklahoma led the Cowboys at halftime by a score of 34-33.

However, thanks to 16 points from senior guard Byron Eaton, the Cowboys edged the Sooners at the end.

With 2.3 seconds left, sophomore guard James Anderson knocked down two free throws to give Oklahoma State the lead 71-70.

Taylor Griffin attempted to throw a football-style pass to Blake Griffin. He missed a three-point attempt, and Tony Crocker missed the follow shot for the win.

The Cowboys practically clinched a tournament bid. Following this win, they are now 22-10.
