The Program: Week 9 Upset Alert Highlights Alabama, Florida and Kansas State
Last week on Upset Alert, we just barely missed the Texas game, as Baylor couldn't pull it out at the end. We visit the Big 12 again this weekend, but we start in the SEC with the World's Largest Outdoor Cocktail Party.
Me? I love this game, and with the way this season has gone, the stakes are most certainly high, again. Mark Richt is in need of a win against a quality opponent in a bad way, and the Gators are hoping to keep padding their resume by beating another Top 10 team. Georgia's got one of its own calling the team soft, and soft is no way to go about beating this tough, physical Florida Gators football team.
Out in the Big 12, we look at the two teams that put a whooping on West Virginia, as Texas Tech will be taking on Kansas State. Both teams have among the conference's best-tackling defenses, and it will be interesting to see Seth Doege operate against Collin Klein. A win for Doege and the Red Raiders would be huge for the people in Lubbock, but Kansas State is looking to stay in the Top Three.
Last, we head to Tuscaloosa, as the Crimson Tide play host to the Mississippi State Bulldogs. People are pretty confident about Nick Saban's team running over Dan Mullen's boys. However, could the Mississippi State Bulldogs pull off the upset on the road?
