Rumors have swirled for a while now that Andrew Wiggins, who is arguably the best high school basketball player in America as a junior, may reclassify to become part of the 2013 class.

That possibility took a big step towards becoming a reality yesterday when Evan Daniels of reported that Wiggins has opened up his recruiting and is actively encouraging schools to court him.

This isn't good news for Kentucky fans.

Wiggins originally looked like he was deciding between UK and FSU. Other schools in the mix now (also according to Evan Daniels) include Ohio State, Kansas, NC State and UNC.

News of a trip to actually workout and meet the coaches at the University of North Carolina (per Matt Hamm of seems to confirm that Wiggins is very serious about exploring his options with regards to enrolling in school as a college freshman next fall.

While Kentucky is most likely still the front runner for Wiggins either this year or next, the Big Blue Nation shouldn't consider the possibility of him reclassifying as an automatic lock to create a 2013 "Super Class." Any time a player of such incredible caliber is asking other schools to recruiting, you've either entered the Twilight Zone, or the recruiting competition for his services just got a lot more heated.
