Most Disappointing Quarterback-Wide Receiver Combos

Some quarterback-wide receiver combos have set the NFL on fire in 2012. And some, as we're discussing today, have figuratively set themselves on fire. Some duos haven't met the expectations laid out for them at the start of the season, and the list of those that have disappointed is really star-studded.

The offensive tandem of Michael Vick and DeSean Jackson haven't exactly paid dividends this season. Vick himself has given the ball away to his opponents with as much regularity as to his star wide receiver. Jackson's under use, with only one touchdown on the season through the Eagles' bye week.

Another stunner has been the sad, sad season of Detroit Lions wide receiver Calvin Johnson. Arguably the greatest wide receiver in the NFL today, the man known as Megatron has been held to just a single TD reception on the season. He and Matthew Stafford haven't found the same page this season, and the Lions, currently sitting with a 2-4 record, are the poorer for it.

What other quarterback-receiver tandems have disappointed us this season?

Join me and NFL Lead Blogger Aaron Nagler as we run through some of the tandems that have left us scratching our respective heads this season. Check out our takes in the latest video debate, and leave your thoughts below in the comments.

As always, thanks for watching.
