Mississippi State vs. Alabama: Can the Bulldogs Topple the Crimson Tide?

How many people expected Mississippi State to be undefeated and tied for the lead in the SEC West for late October's showdown with the Alabama Crimson Tide?

The resurgent Bulldogs will cross the state line and travel to Tuscaloosa with a No. 11 ranking in front of their name and the No. 1 Crimson Tide in its cross hairs. 

Bulldog running back LaDarius Perkins leads all SEC running backs with 103.43 yards per game, and if it wasn't for Tide quarterback AJ McCarron stealing the headlines, Bulldog quarterback Tyler Russell would be the model of SEC quarterback efficiency. 

But the Bulldogs padded their resume due to sub-par early-season competition, and things tighten up in a big way this week.

Can Dan Mullen's crew spring the upset, or will the Bulldogs be exposed as the "same ole Mississippi State?"
