The California State Athletic Commission has suspended UFC Hall of Famer Ken Shamrock for one year, and fined him $2,500 after he tested positive for multiple banned substances after his recent fight against Ross Clifton.

Shamrock tested positive for the banned substances Stanozolol, Noretiocholanolone, and Norandrosterone. Since the fight took place on Feb. 13, Shamrock's suspension will run until February of 2010.

As is always the case, Shamrock will have the right to appeal the findings and go before the CSAC panel for a hearing.

When Shamrock’s fight against Bobby Lashley was announced, we all pretty much knew the fight wouldn’t take place.

Now instead of a cut above the eye, Shamrock has managed to get himself out of the Lashley fight, and any other fights for the foreseeable future, in grand fashion.
