College Football Rankings: Winners and Losers of Week 9 BCS Standings

Barrett Sallee@BarrettSalleeSEC Football Lead WriterOctober 22, 2012

The second edition of the BCS standings came out on Sunday night, and keeping with the election-season theme, the big news was a flip-flop in the top five.

After its big 55-14 win on the road over West Virginia, Kansas State jumped Oregon into the No. 3 spot in the latest standings. That’s huge, considering the two teams ahead of the Wildcats both reside in the SEC.

One of them will lose eventually, which means that Bill Snyder’s crew is sitting pretty in the chase for the crystal football.

Who are the winners and losers of this week’s standings? B/R's SEC lead writer Barrett Sallee breaks them down in this edition of “The Program.”
