Anything can happen in the AFC West, but when the Oakland Raiders and Kansas City Chiefs face off, there is little reason to have anything but the lowest expectations.
The Raiders (2-4) are clearly in rebuilding mode, but didn't have much opportunity to rebuild without many picks in Reggie McKenzie's first year. While Dennis Allen has gotten the defense to play well, the offense seems years behind with Carson Palmer at the helm.
The Chiefs (1-5) were supposed to be good this season, but Romeo Crennel's defense has stalled as he shifted to head coaching responsibilities. While last year's Achilles' heel was injuries, quarterback play (both from Matt Cassel and Brady Quinn) has stymied the Chiefs' chances.
