Atlanta Falcons at Philadelphia Eagles: Preview & Predictions

Josh Zerkle@JoshZerkleChief Writer IIIOctober 21, 2012

Can the Atlanta Falcons get to 7-0 this weekend, or will their undefeated streak go up in smoke?

Atlanta (6-0) has dodged two bullets on its schedule in close games with Washington and Oakland, and the Falcons owe credit for their escapes to the offense. Quarterback Matt Ryan is making his push to elite status, but it surely helps to have offensive weapons at his disposal like wide receivers Roddy White and Julio Jones and tight end Tony Gonzalez.

The Philadelphia Eagles (3-3) seem to have solved every other personnel issue on their team except at quarterback. Michael Vick has struggled to keep the ball in his team's hands; he already has turned it over 13 times in just six weeks. With numerous personnel upgrades on defense and LeSean McCoy working out of the Eagles' backfield, the quarterback position remains a very weak link in an otherwise strong chain.
