New York Giants vs. Dallas Cowboys Preview and Predictions

Remember how great Dallas Cowboys fans felt after they watched their team open up with a big road victory over the world champion New York Giants

Doesn't that feel like a lifetime ago?

The Cowboys squeaked out a win over the Carolina Panthers but looked anything but impressive doing so. Tony Romo and the Cowboys offense failed to take advantage of a banged-up Panthers defense that wasn't exactly dynamic to begin with.

Now here come the Giants, coming off a dramatic victory over another NFC East rival, looking to even the score with the Cowboys in the House That Jerry Built. These two teams played one of the best games of 2011 down in Dallas last year, and I expect this one to be similar.

For the Cowboys, they need to take what the Giants give them on defense and avoid the temptation to try to take advantage of the Giants' suspect secondary with Miles Austin and Dez Bryant and instead hit crossers and underneath stuff to Jason Witten and the running backs.

For the Giants, they have been reborn behind the running game, and they need to continue to ride it. The Redskins baited Eli Manning into some bad throws, and you can expect Rob Ryan and Co. to try to follow suit.

In the video above, we look at the biggest matchups and give our predictions for the game. Let us know in the comments below what you'll be watching and who you think wins this big Monday night showdown.
