Quarterback Perry Hills, who was thrust into the starting lineup when C.J. Brown tore his ACL during preseason, suffered a knee injury on a hit during the first half’s final minute in a homecoming matchup with N.C. State. A cart escorted Hills of the field, leaving backup Devin Burns under center with the Wolfpack leading, 10-3, entering halftime. Hills will not return to the game.
