Southern Cal 50, Colorado 6 - Final
Matt Barkley and company wanted to put themselves back in the thick of the BCS Championship hunt and with a 50-6 thrashing of Colorado, they may have done just that.
In the meantime, Barkley may have gotten himself in the Heisman race as well.
Barkley completed 19-of-20 passes for 298 yards and six touchdowns.
Four of those passes went to his favorite target, Robert Woods and USC was on cruise control midway through the third quarter.
The 10th ranked Trojans play the Arizona Wildcats next week.

Announcers talking about the amazing run of quarterbacks that have played for USC during the last decade.
The list is a distinguished one, but also a list of NFL incompetency.
Carson Palmer and Mark Sanchez have had credible league careers, but have failed to meet expectations.
Matt Leinart was huge best and it will be interesting if Matt Barkley can surpass his predecessors.
Max Wittek tosses a 24-yard touchdown to extend the lead.

First USC punt of the day! hahahahah
The members of the USC defensive front seven have all played an amazing game. They have pressured Jordan Webb constantly and their group of linebackers may be the best in country.
Looks like Lane Kiffin is going to pull a number of starters. Barkley watch is now over.

ANOTHER BARKLEY TO WOODS TOUCHDOWN. This makes six for Barkley and four for Woods. Colorado might want to cover that guy.

Barkley is throwing darts all over the field today and this may be his best game as a Trojan.
Wanted to point out the gutsy play of Colorado quarterback Jordan Webb. His line may not be that attractive, but Webb has been under fire constantly and has done a good job of moving the ball.

The Pac-12 Network is featuring a sideline reporter named Yogi. You can't make this stuff up.
Despite a fumble, Matt Barkley is having a Heisman worthy first half. Barkley is 16-of-17 for 268 yards and five touchdowns. He has connected with Robert Woods for three of his scores.

USC coach Lane Kiffin was not pleased in his teams lack of composure near the end of the first half. The Trojan offense has turned the ball over twice and has a variety of costly penalties.
Southern Cal leads the nation in penalties, averaging nine per game in 2012.
Kiffin was fuming in his halftime interview and vowed to fix the problem.

More USC classiness. Leonard Williams was ejected from the game with personal foul, after he right hooked a Colorado lineman....who had his helmet on.
DRAMA ALERT!!!!
I was looking for some information on the NFL failures of Southern Cal quarterbacks and ran across this. It looks like Matt Leinart was sexting Bachelorette star Emily Maynard while she was dating someone else.
Stay classy, Matt.
Robert Woods hauls in another TD grab from Barkley. More USC records broken, more Colorado woes.
Southern Cal 32, Colorado 6 - 6:52 2nd Quarter
Very nice in-depth look at young Trojan wideout Marqise Lee.
Matt Barkley is showing some very impressive pocket awareness today.
USC defense is really starting to tighten up. Another corner blitz, and another hit to Colorado's Jordan Webb.
More records might be broken today.
Robert Woods needs ONE more catch to have a USC record of his own, passing Dwayne Jarrett for career catches

A Silas Redd sighting. The Former Penn State product has been rather quiet today.
Southern Cal 19, Colorado 6 - 2nd Quarter
Another field goal for Colorado cuts the lead to 13. Efficient offense by Christian Powell and company, but the Buffalos are going to need some touchdowns to keep pace.
