Texas Tech forward Mike Singletary put on a record-breaking show to almost singlehandedly defeat the Texas A&M Aggies in the Big 12 Conference Tournament.

Down 48-29 at the half, Mike took over. At one point in the second half, Singletary scored 29 straight points for the Red Raiders as the sophomore led Texas Tech on a comeback for the ages.

“I was just in the zone, I think,” Mike said after the game. “We didn’t want to lose this game. We didn’t want to go home.”

Singletary also set the Big 12 Conference Tournament scoring record with 43 points, surpassing Iowa State’s Marcus Fizer, who had 38 in 2000.

Donald Sloan had 22 points to lead the Aggies in their losing effort.

Texas Tech moves on to face Missouri later today.
