Steve Smith: Best Receiver in the NFL?

Julian JosephContributor IMarch 12, 2009

I think Steve Smith is one of the best wide receivers in the NFL.

He is only 5'10'' and needs to get double-covered. He has good hands, unbelievable speed, and can get away from the corner backs or safeties. When he catches the ball, he breaks tackles and gets good yards.

One of my friends said that Larry Fitzgerald is better, but I think he just has height and is not as good as Steve Smith. In Larry's highlights, he jumps real high, but usually gets tackled after.

In Steve's highlights, he gets the ball and runs for a good 10 to 20 yards, while breaking tackles and being elusive. He can also catch the ball in double coverage.

And keep in mind he is not nearly as tall as Fitzgerald.
