English Premier League—White Hart Lane, England.

TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR 2-4 CHELSEA

Goals: Cahill, Mata x 2, Sturridge (Blues), Gallas, Defoe (Spurs)

Chelsea walked out deserved winners in a sumptuous London derby as Roberto Di Matteo's side moved seven points clear at the top of the Premier League table.

The brilliance of Juan Mata, Oscar and Eden Hazard proved too hot to handle for a depleted Spurs side missing both Gareth Bale and Moussa Dembele.

After going into half-time 1-0 down, Andre Villas-Boas' side came out fighting. They turned the game on it's head to take a 2-1 lead through Gallas and Defoe, but Chelsea fought back.

Mata kicked into gear and dictated proceedings, scoring two goals and assisting one.
