Just like that, we're one game away from the World Series being set.
Tim Lincecum got roughed up, and the St. Louis Cardinals got a good mix of lights-out pitching from Adam Wainwright and timely hitting from the offense to take a 3-1 series lead on Thursday night.
Taking the mound for the San Francisco Giants in their must-win Game 5 will be Barry Zito. The veteran has yet to pitch since getting roughed up last week against the Cincinnati Reds, but he did look good in his only start against the Cardinals this year (6.2 innings, two earned runs, four strikeouts).
Looking to end the series for the Cards will be Lance Lynn, who gave up four runs and five hits in 3.2 ugly innings during St. Louis' Game 1 win.
It's safe to say that Game 5 could come down to the bullpens.
The crucial matchup takes place on Friday at 8 p.m. ET. If the Giants find a way to squeak out a win, they will head back to San Francisco for Game 6 and potentially Game 7.
