Dallas Stars Ice Girls Make Great Use of Lockout, Create Sexy Music Video
We present, for your viewing pleasure, the good side of the NHL lockout.
Sure, games are being missed and hours upon hours of great entertainment are being sacrificed to the hockey gods at the moment.
But we have a music video parody of sorts (h/t Big Lead Sports), and there are two great things to love about it.
First, and most importantly, it has nothing to do with "Call Me Maybe" or "Gangnam Style," which instantly makes it the most creative thing we have seen in years.
Secondly, umm, Ice Girls.
The music video is the Dallas Stars Ice Girls' take on Little Big Town's "Pontoon," a song about life on a pontoon, which looks far more pleasant than it sounds.
Now, we know this hardly makes up for the fact that NHL games are still being shelved as the lockout lingers, but it makes the day far more tolerable, at least for a few moments.
While the hot women in bikinis are certainly a plus, you have no idea how much I appreciate this gang getting together and not doing the usual set of parodies we have seen.
They even sing a chorus all their own at the 1:30 mark. This, sports fans, is how you make the world a better place.
Not with "Call Me Maybe" and not with "Gangnam Style."
